Assault suspects sent to jail

A Judicial Magistrate South sent two suspects to jail on judicial remand in a case pertaining to the assault of a youth in Defence.

The suspects, identified as Ibrahim and Waqar, were produced upon completion of their physical remand.

The investigating officer requested the court to extend the suspects' physical remand until September 19 for further interrogation.

The court, however, observed that three other co-suspects in the case had already obtained interim bail from the sessions court.
