11 new restaurants added to Toronto's 2026 Michelin Recommended list - Toronto Star

See the full list of restaurants in Toronto's 2026 Michelin Guide, including the 11 new Recommended additions and five new Bib Gourmands.

Dozens of chefs from the GTA and beyond traded their chef whites for suits and dresses at the Liberty Grand Entertainment Complex on Tuesday night in hopes of seeing stars, well, Michelin stars, at the fifth annual ceremony for the dining guide.

The 2026 edition was largely unchanged from last year, with no new stars being added to the culinary scene. The top-rated restaurant remains Jordan, Ont.’s Restaurant Pearl Morissette, which retained its two stars from last year.

Fourteen restaurants retained their one-star designations, down from 16 last year. Oakville’s Hexagon restaurant closed earlier this summer after its chef, Rafael Covarrubias, moved to 20 Victoria in December (20 Victoria retained its Michelin star from last year).  Meanwhile, Japanese restaurant Aburi Hana, which closed last fall for renovations and reopened this week with a new concept, is not on this year’s list.

Perhaps the biggest additions are to Michelin’s Recommended and Bib Gourmand lists. The Recommended list saw the addition of 11 restaurants: 156 ONEFIVESIX, Bar Allegro, Bar Ardo, Bar Eugenie, Liliana, Pho Ngoc Yen, PUNCH and Takja. Three new entries are from outside Toronto: LORE in Collingwood, oddBird in St. Catharines and Revé in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Koh Lipe and Dil Se were taken off from last year’s list, while seven restaurants from last year including Famiglia Baldassare, Bar Chica, Azura and Yukashi have since closed.

As for Bib Gourmand, Michelin’s designation for good-quality, good-value cooking, five new spots made this year’s list. Toronto entries include Golden Horseshoe Barbecue, The Lunch Lady of Saigon and Antylia. Restaurant Pearl Morissette’s bakery offshoot, RPM Bakehouse, was also added to the Bib Gourmand list along with Les Incompetents in St. Catharines.
