A 15-year-old boy was booked for allegedly impregnating an eighth class girl in North Zone in NTR Police Commissionerate.
The boy was studying tenth standard, said the Women Development and Child Welfare (WD&CW) Department staff, who rescued the seven-month-old pregnant girl.
“The girl was produced before the Krishna District Child Welfare Committee [CWC], which referred her to a Child Care Institution [CCI] for care and protection,” a CWC member told The Hindu.
Following the directions of the CWC, police recorded the statement of the victim and took up investigation.
