2026 MTV VMAs Winners: Madonna, Sabrina Carpenter and LISA Take Top Honors
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The 2026 MTV Video Music Awards (MTV VMA) brought together some of the biggest names in music at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sept. 27, 2026, with Snoop Dogg hosting the 43rd edition of the awards show.
The ceremony celebrated artists across major categories, from Video of the Year and Artist of the Year to Best Pop, Best Collaboration and music-video craft awards.
Among the confirmed winners highlighted in the supplied USA Today report were Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter, who won Best Collaboration for “Bring Your Love,” while LISA took Best Pop for “Dream featuring Kentaro Sakaguchi.”
The night also featured major honors for Taylor Swift and Nirvana. Swift received the inaugural Artist Director Honors, while Nirvana was presented with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter won Best Collaboration for their song “Bring Your Love.”
The award added to the attention surrounding Madonna, who entered the 2026 VMAs as one of the ceremony's leading nominees. Carpenter was also among the night's most-nominated artists.
LISA won Best Pop for “Dream featuring Kentaro Sakaguchi.”
The BLACKPINK member was also nominated for Best K-pop, Best Cinematography and Best Editing with the same song.
Taylor Swift received the inaugural Artist Director Honors, recognizing her work behind the camera and contributions to music-video storytelling.
The honor also made Swift the most-awarded artist in VMA history, with 31 awards, according to reporting ahead of the ceremony. She also premiered the music video for “Patient Zero,” featuring Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell.
Nirvana received the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, one of the ceremony's major honors.
The award recognized the band's lasting contribution to music video and popular music.
