The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (rtd.), has reaffirmed his commitment to working for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, declaring that he would continue to work hard for the success of Nigeria. ‎  Musa stated this in Kaduna during a meeting with local government coordinators of GCG Musawah 4 PBAT 2027, a political mobilisation structure he formed to mobilise support for the re-election of President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani. ‎ ‎in a statement on Saturday, signed by Secretary of the Group, James Swam explained that the visit provided an opportunity for the minister to interact with the leadership of the movement, its coordinators from the 23 local government areas of Kaduna State, and representatives of over 300 affiliated support and interest groups. ‎ ‎Addressing the gathering, Musa called for determination and collective commitment to mobilise voters for the president’s reelection towards building a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria. ‎ “I will continue to work hard for Nigeria to succeed,” the minister said, urging Nigerians to remain committed to the task of nation-building. “We should remain determined to build this country because together we are stronger as a nation,” he added.

‎The minister also spoke passionately about the importance of religious tolerance, national unity and peaceful coexistence, drawing from his childhood experience growing up in Sokoto. “I grew up in Sokoto, there is no way I can object to any religion,” he said, recalling how, as a child, he participated in Sallah celebrations with his Muslim friends and neighbours.

‎”I remember that during Sallah, as children, we were the ones who would hold the ram to be slaughtered,” he recalled, illustrating the bonds of friendship and shared community life that existed across religious lines during his formative years. ‎ ‎Musa said Nigeria was endowed with enormous human and material resources capable of transforming the country if its citizens remained united and committed to national development. ‎ ‎”God put us in Nigeria to build this country, and we have the capacity to do it, both in human and material resources,” he said. ‎ ‎He urged members of the movement and other Nigerians to see the development of the country as a collective responsibility, stressing that progress would require unity, determination and a shared commitment to the national interest. ‎ ‎The minister’s visit further reinforced the political objectives of GCG Musawah 4 PBAT 2027, which has established grassroots structures across Kaduna State in support of the Tinubu and Uba Sani administrations ahead of the 2027 general elections. ‎ ‎The movement’s leadership through its national coordinator, Ambassador Polycarp Gankon, the 2019 governorship candidate of APGA in Kaduna State, expressed appreciation to the minister for his continued support and for personally engaging with its grassroots coordinators and support groups, describing the visit as a further boost to its mobilisation activities across the state.
