A horror crash on the N1 between Prince Albert and Leeu-Gamka in the Western Cape has claimed the lives of 21 people.
According to RTMC the crash took place in the early hours of Monday morning and involved a Toyota Quantum taxi and a Suzuki Brezza SUV.
Spokesperson Simon Zwane said the number of fatalities may change as the emergency services assess the scene.
Zwane said the incident is developing.
"More information will be made available at a later stage."
