Phu Wiang Police Station officers arrested a 25-year-old man who stabbed three relatives, injuring them, claiming anger over them not revealing his wife's location,.
On 4 Nov 2026, body camera footage was released showing Phu Wiang Police investigative officers tracking and arresting Anuchit, 25, at his home after he was suspected of using a folding knife to attack his uncle, cousin, and other relatives while they were eating together at a field hut, injuring three people.
He then fled on a motorcycle, but officers managed to apprehend him and took him back to identify the crime scene at the marble table and the front yard of the house.
Initially, the suspect admitted to the attack, claiming he was angry because the relatives refused to disclose his wife's whereabouts, although villagers said the couple had separated 3–4 years ago.
Pol. Col. Man Sirichai, Chief of Phu Wiang Police Station, said that around 9:00 p.m. on 3 Nov 2026, investigators received a radio report of a stabbing incident with three injured persons at a field hut east of Ban Non Sila village, Kud Khon Kaen Subdistrict, Phu Wiang District, Khon Kaen Province. He immediately dispatched investigators and officers to the scene.
Upon arrival, officers found bloodstains on the marble table, chairs, and floor beneath the field hut. The three injured—54-year-old Thammarak, the suspect's uncle, wounded on the neck; 33-year-old Anupong, his cousin, injured in the abdomen; and 58-year-old Samai, a relative, wounded on the neck—had been taken by local rescue units to Phu Wiang Hospital. They are now in stable condition and receiving medical care.
Preliminary interviews with villagers revealed that before the incident, the three injured were eating and drinking together at the marble table under the field hut since early evening. Then Anuchit, 25, approached, loudly demanding to know his wife's location, accusing the three relatives of hiding this information.
Villagers added that Anuchit and his wife had separated about 3–4 years ago, but he believed his uncle had taken her away. He often exhibited behavior like someone intoxicated, shouting and showing signs of hallucinations. However, villagers were unsure whether he had consumed any substances, so the cause of his behavior remains unclear.
Regarding the incident, villagers told police that after Anuchit's confrontation, he used a 15-cm pointed folding knife he carried to chase and stab the three injured persons around the marble table and front yard. He then fled on a motorcycle. The injured called the village headman, who coordinated rescue efforts to take them to the hospital.
After identifying the suspect, Phu Wiang Police investigators and local patrols quickly tracked down Anuchit at his home in Kud Khon Kaen Subdistrict. He cooperated with authorities, who seized the folding knife used in the attack and a long-sleeve shirt with blood stains on the right sleeve as evidence before taking him to identify the crime scenes at the marble table and front yard where the assaults occurred.
Body camera footage from Phu Wiang Police investigators recorded the arrest of Anuchit and the process of taking him to point out the crime scenes. Authorities proceeded with investigation steps and evidence collection.
During initial questioning, Anuchit confessed to stabbing and assaulting the three relatives, citing anger that they refused to reveal his wife's whereabouts. Police charged him with assault causing bodily or mental harm and carrying a knife in a public place without reasonable cause, then transferred him to Phu Wiang Police Station for legal proceedings.
