A man has been rushed to hospital after a house fire in Adelaide's south-western suburbs.

The 40-year-old man sustained life-threatening injuries.

Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing, but police say they don't believe the circumstances are suspicious.

A man is in a critical condition after a fire broke out inside a home in Adelaide's south-western suburbs.

Emergency services were called to a house on George Street, at Marion, about 6.30am after reports of a fire.

A 40-year-old man was rushed to hospital with serious burns where he remains in a life-threatening condition.

Metropolitan Fire Service crews were able to extinguish the blaze which was contained to the bathroom.

Fire cause investigators have attended the scene and investigations are ongoing.

Police say they do not believe the fire is suspicious but have urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
