Brandin Cooks is back in the NFC West. The San Francisco 49ers signed Cooks to their practice squad this week, adding some much-needed wide receiver depth after losing another former Rams wideout, Demarcus Robinson, to injury.

Brandin Cooks is back in the NFC West. The San Francisco 49ers signed Cooks to their practice squad this week, adding some much-needed wide receiver depth after losing another former Rams wideout, Demarcus Robinson, to injury.

Cooks last played for the Bills in 2025 but was a free agent all offseason. He'll now try to help the 49ers, who are once again dealing with a rash of injuries early in the season.

In 15 games with the Saints and Bills last season, Cooks caught 24 passes for 279 yards but didn't have a touchdown. He also caught five passes for 78 yards in the playoffs for Buffalo.

Cooks was with the Rams for two years (2018-2019) after Los Angeles acquired him in a trade with the Patriots. He's never made a Pro Bowl but he does have six career 1,000-yard seasons, which have come with four different teams.
