5 Miami Dolphins prop plays for Week 1 against Las Vegas Raiders - Dolphins Wire

The Miami Dolphins will open their 2026 season with a road game against the Las Vegas Raiders at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday. Across the league, Week 1 is an excellent time to take advantage of prop bets that could be set a little lower. This is before players put trends and expectations out, which could raise over/under marks as the season goes on. 

Here are five Dolphins player props that could be relatively low-hanging fruit to kick off the season.

The play of the day could be running back De’Von Achane hauling in at least five receptions. Head coach Jeff Hafley indicated over the summer that Achane will be getting plenty of work and could be a lock for 30-plus touches. Of course, in addition to his running ability, Achane is one of the most dynamic dual-threat players in the league and could see plenty of targets from quarterback Malik Willis. 

Achane averaged 4.2 receptions per game in 2025, 4.6 in 2024, and has a career mark of 3.9. He has caught five or more passes in 18 of his 44 games played during his three-year career so far. With him being the sure-fire centerpiece of this offense, you can bet on plenty of output from him in Vegas.

Rookie Caleb Douglas had a fantastic summer and earned one of the starting wide receiver spots for the Dolphins. Throughout training camp, Douglas earned the trust of Willis and was one of the talks of the town as well as across the league. 

Any starting receiver that has such a low over/under for a reception total should be played. It is not out of the realm of possibility at all that Douglas could catch at least four or five passes, so play this with confidence. The +115 odds give a bit more bang for the buck, which is always a nice bonus.

Entering his second season with Miami, Patterson is coming off a record-setting 2025 with his accuracy. He hit on 27 of his 29 attempts, which became a franchise-best 93.1% field goal percentage. Hitting a pair on Sunday isn’t the tallest order on the props slate, and last season he made two or more field goals in 10 games.

In many cases, Week 1 could be a time when offenses are still trying to gel, especially with a new quarterback and rookies sprinkled all over the unit. Patterson could very well make good on this play before the teams head into the locker room for halftime.

Willis has more than a big arm and is more than capable of picking up heavy yardage with his legs, whether by design or improvising. Willis ran for 60 yards in a start last season for the Green Bay Packers against the Baltimore Ravens and rushed in two touchdowns. He also went for 40 yards in a relief appearance last season against the Chicago Bears.

With the book having the odds at -140, that indicates a high likelihood the over can hit, so bettors may want to invest a bit more upfront in order to net a solid return. Add in the fact that elite pass-rusher Maxx Crosby could be hot on Willis’ tail; look for Miami’s new quarterback to hit the ground running in the season opener.

One of the biggest stories out of training camp this summer was the incredible comeback of rookie wide receiver Chris Bell from his 2025 ACL injury while at Louisville. Back months ahead of schedule, Bell is not only on the active roster and ready for Week 1, but will not be held to a “pitch count,” as Hafley told reporters earlier this week.

While a ton of target volume would be hard to guarantee, Bell could make an immediate impact with some big catches. In this case, Willis and Bell hooking up for a score in his debut, which is weeks earlier than many expected, could be an outstanding way to start the young and talented receiver’s career. With five times the payout potential, you may as well throw a moderate investment on Bell, who could ring in the season with a ton of noise should he find the end zone.
