5-star Oklahoma Sooners TE commit suspended after last week's ejection

A key five-star prospect and third teamer on the USA TODAY Sports Preseason All-America team sat out Friday night, Sept. 11, after being suspended following an ejection last week.
Seneca Driver, an Oklahoma commit who has been one of the state's top playmakers early this season, served a one-game suspension as Boyle County lost to Highlands 41-21, snapping the Rebels' 15-game winning streak.
According to Evan Dennison, sports editor of LINK nky, Driver was on the sideline wearing an Oklahoma Sooners shirt and out of uniform.
Driver was ejected from Boyle County's Week 3 clash against Lexington Catholic after receiving his second unsportsmanlike conduct penalty midway through the second quarter. The suspension stemmed from the two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties.
Driver, a 6-foot-6, 240-pound tight end, was coming off a breakout junior season in which he contributed as a receiver, short-yardage running back and defensive playmaker. He helped lead Boyle County to a Class 4A state championship in 2025 and was named the championship game's MVP.
He finished last season with 875 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns, adding three rushing scores, 67 tackles, three sacks and five interceptions in 15 games.
Driver has already been productive in his senior season, entering the suspension with six receiving touchdowns and an interception on defense.
