6 students cram onto bike in UP, one sits on another's shoulders in risky stunt

Six school students were seen crammed onto one motorcycle in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut, with one even sitting on another’s shoulders in a video that has sparked outrage on social media.

In the short clip, five boys were seen seated on the bike as one of them rode it. The scene took an even more dangerous turn when another student was seen balancing himself on the shoulders of one of the boys already seated on the motorcycle.

The students appeared to be putting themselves at serious risk as the overloaded bike moved along the road. Their stunt has raised concerns over road safety, particularly as the students appear to be schoolchildren.

Meanwhile, police launched an investigation as the video went viral and took action against those involved.

“Preparations are underway to seize the vehicle. A fine of Rs 25,000 has been imposed. Children riding motorcycles in this manner is completely wrong,” Meerut Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Rajesh Kumar Srivastava said.

He also held the children’s parents responsible for allowing such behaviour and said action was being taken against them.

“Parents are fully responsible for this, and action is being taken against them,” he added.- Ends
