The Bhoomi Puja ceremony for the construction of new toilet facilities at Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens and Karanji Lake Nature Park was held here on Thursday.
The works are being taken up at a cost of ₹73 lakh with financial assistance from the CSR fund of Bank Note Paper Mill India Private Limited (BNPMIPL), Mysuru.
K. Rangaswamy, Chairman, Zoo Authority of Karnataka, and Ananth Hegde, Managing Director, BNPMIPL, were among those present at the ceremony.
K. Dharani Kumar, Lakshmisha Babu, S.A. Raghavendra and P. Anusha, Executive Director, Mysuru zoo, and others attended the programme.
