When danger approached, a brave crossing guard made a split-second decision.

Tara Sandstrom set up her camera beside the roadway as she got to work one Wednesday in Lehi, Utah. She was holding a stop sign as two children entered the crosswalk on scooters.  A car beeps its horn and the white vehicle stopped at intersection moves forward, with Sandstrom rushing toward it and demanding the motorist stops.

“I felt immediate fear and concern because there were children still in the crosswalk and a vehicle was moving toward them. My instinct was simply to protect the kids and make sure everyone stayed safe,” Sandstrom said.

Sandstrom shared the footage to Instagram where it was viewed almost eight million times. “Superhero right there!” one comment read. “Didn’t even hesitate - you are superwoman!” another said.
