AAP asks how 58 firms got registered at its Delhi headquarters, claims conspiracy
AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj has alleged that 58 companies were registered at the party's national headquarters address in New Delhi between July and September 2026, questioning how the firms obtained government approvals despite the premises being allotted to the party.
Bharadwaj alleged that the registrations were part of a conspiracy to create a narrative that the Aam Aadmi Party was receiving hawala funds and to damage its image ahead of the Punjab Assembly polls.
Bharadwaj said all 58 companies had obtained GST registrations, questioning how the firms were allowed to use 1 Canning Lane, the address of AAP's national headquarters.
"How were 58 companies allowed to get registered at the address which the government allotted as a bungalow?" Bharadwaj asked.
He said the companies were registered between July and September 2026 and shared the names of all 58 firms that, according to him, used the AAP headquarters address for registration.
Bharadwaj also questioned the process through which the companies obtained GST licences, pointing out that GST registration involves Aadhaar authentication and, in certain cases, physical verification.DID OFFICERS NOT SEE AAP BOARD?
The AAP leader questioned how physical verification could have been completed at the party's national headquarters without officials noticing that the premises belonged to AAP.
"For GST registration, physical verification is required, and Aadhaar verification is carried out. How was this done at the national headquarters of AAP?" he asked.
He further questioned whether the officials conducting the verification had not noticed that there were no business establishments or boards of the 58 companies at the address.
Bharadwaj said the Centre must explain how the companies were registered at the address and what the purpose behind the registrations was.CONSPIRACY TO DEFAME AAP BEFORE PUNJAB POLLS
Bharadwaj alleged that the registrations were intended to create a false trail that could later be used to accuse AAP of receiving hawala money.
He claimed that the BJP could have used the registrations to build a narrative around alleged hawala funding, triggering an investigation and defaming AAP ahead of the Punjab polls.
According to Bharadwaj, the alleged conspiracy was aimed at cornering AAP with such allegations and hurting the party's prospects in Punjab.
