Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka.
The State Government gave another good news to Singareni workers and directed the Singareni Collieries management to pay Performance-Linked Reward (Deepavali bonus) of a maximum of ₹1,10,250 each on November 5 with a total payout of ₹419 crore this time.
They were recently paid a share in the company’s profits with each employee getting an average of ₹1,53,912 and another ₹5,500 each to contract workers. The company shared 34% of its profit of ₹1,754 crore in 2025-26.
Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said on Friday that nearly ₹600 crore was paid this month as a profit-sharing bonus, and a further ₹419 crore is now being paid as a performance bonus.
All the eligible workers of SCCL under the National Coal Wage Agreement (NCWA) would get the Deepavali bonus, according to Chairman and Managing Director of Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) Buddhaprakash Jyoti. Other employees and officers are not eligible for it. The workers who have completed 190 working days in the underground mines or 240 working days in the opencast and surface sections, during the previous financial year would receive the full bonus.
For those who worked for fewer days with a minimum of 30 days, the bonus would be calculated and paid proportionately to the period worked. In all, nearly 38,000 workers and employees are expected to benefit.
