‘Accusing Israel of genocide is the greatest lie of the century’: Netanyahu at UN assembly

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has denied to the United Nations (UN)'s General Assembly that he's carrying out a genocide in Palestine.

Several delegates staged a walkout as Netanyahu was invited to the podium on Thursday night.

He detailed religious ties to parts of the Middle East, claiming Israeli forces helped Palestinians while fighting Hamas.

“Israel did everything possible to get them out of harm's way. What genocidal regime enables the distribution of 2 million tons of food into Gaza? That's a ton for every person. Accusing Israel of genocide is the greatest lie of the century.”

Earlier in the day, the UN aired a recorded speech by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

He was denied a visa into the United States (US) for the second time in a row.
