ActionSA to defend position to submit single-candidate PR lists against DA challenge - EWN

ActionSA said it will meet the Democratic Alliance (DA) in the Electoral Court to defend its position to submit single-candidate lists for proportional representation (PR) seats in the November polls.

The party said the DA’s behaviour is at odds with its position to govern in coalitions, as it seeks to take control of major metros after the elections.

The DA launched an application in the Electoral Court on Tuesday, challenging four parties for submitting single-candidate lists, arguing they are deceiving voters and subverting electoral laws that allow for the supplementation of lists after an election.
