Actor Manju Warrier files defamation suit against filmmaker Sanalkumar Sasidharan

Actor Manju Warrier has filed an injunction cum defamation suit before the Munsif Court, Ernakulam, seeking an order restraining film maker Sanalkumar Sasidharan from publishing defamatory content against her, mainly through social media.

She also sought a similar order against YouTuber Shajan Skariah and a direction to Meta to remove the defamatory contents from online platforms.

Ms Warrier further filed interlocutory applications, seeking an interim injunction restraining Mr. Sasidharan from publishing any further posts, and a direction to Meta to remove the defamatory contents against her.

Based on this, the court issued an interim injunction against Mr. Sasidharan and also ordered notice to Meta to remove the contents.
