Adelaide's Best Street Library - nominations now open - ABC News & Headlines – Australian Broadcasting Corporation
891 ABC Adelaide Mornings’ presenter Rory McClaren is on the hunt to find Adelaide’s best street library, and we need your help to uncover it.
Nominate your favourite local street library and help celebrate the community hubs that bring Adelaide's neighbourhoods together. Whether it is a beautifully painted cabinet on a quiet suburban corner, or a cleverly repurposed fridge or cupboard in a bustling inner-city street, the best street libraries reflect the unique spirit and creativity of their local communities.
Every neighbourhood has that one stand-out library that feels magical, and now is your chance to give it the recognition it deserves. Think of the street library that always surprises you with an unexpected literary treasure, boasts the most imaginative architectural design, or features a heartwarming children's section that keeps local families coming back week after week.
Email your nomination to beststreetlibraries@abc.net.au
891 ABC Adelaide’s official judging panel will closely scrutinise all nominations received, before independently preparing a short list of the best street libraries.
We will then ask you to vote in the People’s Choice to decide 891 Mornings 'Best Street Library in Adelaide'.
If you have a street library near your home, or perhaps one you see on your daily commute, we want to hear about it. Nominate your favourite, share its story and help us find Adelaide’s best street-side book nook!
Then keep listening to 891 ABC Mornings with Rory McClaren as he shares the stories of Adelaide's best street libraries.
