Now, adult family members can appear before election authorities on behalf of a voter, in response to notices received as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Telangana. Chief Electoral Officer-Telangana, C Sudarshan Reddy said on Thursday that an adult family member of a voter concerned can personally appear before Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) or Assistant ERO for resolution of notices already issued, to submit necessary documents and information. The CEO directed officials to receive the documents and take necessary measures. Directions to this effect were passed to the election authorities at district level.
