Ahmedabad grocery store throws a party with DJ, customers ditch their carts to dance

You might have danced at a DJ night or a rave, but chances are you didn't expect to find one in the middle of a grocery store. Ahmedabad recently had its own little supermarket party, complete with a DJ and shoppers turning the aisles into a dance floor.

Shivani Jaiswal, an Instagram user, shared a video of the unusual scene on her account. The clip began with her posing in front of the camera alongside her friends, with the text overlay announcing, “Grocery store rave in Ahmedabad.”

It then cut to the action inside the store, where a woman DJ was stationed in the middle of the premises, playing music as customers gathered around her.

Instead of going about their usual shopping, several people were seen dancing to the beats, giving the grocery store an unmistakable nightclub vibe.

Shivani summed up the experience in her caption, writing, “Ahmedabad is insaneeeee.”

The unexpected party left social media users amused, with many joking about how the city seemed to come up with a new surprise every day. One user wondered what had happened to the Ahmedabad they remembered for simpler outings, such as grabbing egg Maggi at IIMA.
