Can you imagine getting a massage from a robot at home? It could become a reality in the future. At the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) in Beijing, an embodied intelligent massage robot demonstrates giving a massage to a dummy in the health services section as the fair opens at Shougang Park.

The health services section is one of the core sections of CIFTIS. Focusing on quality improvement and industry upgrading, this year's event features the "Future Medical Technology Industry Frontier Exhibition Area" for the first time, providing a dedicated platform for innovative small and medium-sized technology companies. A range of cutting-edge medical innovations, including the embodied intelligent massage robots, are on display.
"The biggest advantage of this robot is that it can almost 100% reproduce the body movements and techniques of human specialists with its mechanical structures," said Yan Cong, a professor at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.
In the future, such robots have the potential to learn and pass on the special massage techniques of the renowned doctors, Yan said.

Developed by Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital, a ring named "SupRing" attracts visitors.
Sun Xiao, a staff member of the hospital, introduced that the ring can continuously collect blood oxygen, heart rate, blood pressure, sleep and other data 24 hours a day. The data can be viewed at any time on the phone. Equipped with a big data model, it forms a complete health loop of collection, early warning, analysis, identification and intervention.
Unlike watches and wristbands worn on the outside of the wrist, the ring's sensors sit snugly against the finger pad, enabling more accurate data collection while providing a comfortable, barely-there wearing experience, said Sun. The design also helps minimize interference from sunlight and the surrounding environment, reducing measurement errors, he said.

At the 2026 CIFTIS, artificial intelligence almost has become integrated into every stage of healthcare, from diagnostic assistance and day-to-day health management to clinical surgery, helping high-quality medical services overcome geographic and resource barriers and reach more people.
After testing an AI-powered fundus camera, a senior visitor told the reporter that the result is "actually pretty accurate."
The device was jointly developed by Beijing Tongren Hospital and Airdoc. Equipped with an intelligent agent, it can screen for and assist in diagnosing blinding eye diseases and major chronic conditions. The device has been deployed in more than 1,000 medical institutions across China, introduced in 23 countries and regions worldwide, and has served a cumulative total of 40 million people, said Yu Qian, a staff member at the booth.
"The device gave me a score of 51 for liver injury risk," said the visitor. "My liver does have some problems. I have diabetes, and the machine detected that too."
