The Andhra Influencer Premier League (AIPL) Season 1, a three-day box-cricket tournament aimed at bringing regional social media creators together, will begin at SS Sports Arena in Madhurawada on October 2, said M.D. Ramesh Kumar, senior advocate and director of the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP).
The tournament, is being organised by SS Sports Arena in association with RRR Motor & Sports Association, will continue until October 4. Eight teams will compete in two pools.
Pool A comprises Srikakulam Kings, Vizag Titans, Vizag Super Kings and Anakapalli Avengers, while Pool B has Vizag Tigers, FF Warriors, Sikkolu Strikers and Vizianagaram Firestorms, according to the organisers.
The first prize carries ₹1 lakh in cash and a trophy, while the second prize carries ₹50,000 and a trophy.
The organisers said the league is being conducted for the first time in Andhra Pradesh with Visakhapatnam as its centre and is intended to provide a platform for regional social media creators to come together through sport.
