Golmaal 5 now has a release date. Rohit Shetty has confirmed that the fifth film in his popular comedy franchise will arrive in theatres on January 8, 2027. The new instalment brings back Ajay Devgn and the familiar Golmaal gang, while adding Akshay Kumar to the madness.
Shetty announced the date on Saturday with a motion poster shared on Instagram. The poster features the gang squeezed into a three-wheeler as they make their way along a winding hill road.

The film will see Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Kemmu and Tusshar Kapoor return to the franchise. Sharman Joshi is also set to reprise his role, while Akshay Kumar and Priyamani are among the new additions to the cast.
Golmaal 5 went on floors in Mumbai in February 2026. The film marks another collaboration between Shetty and Ajay Devgn, who has been at the heart of the franchise since its beginning.
The release announcement comes in a significant year for the comedy series. The Golmaal franchise completed 20 years in 2026, giving Shetty a chance to look back at the journey that began with the first film in 2006.
Sharing a video featuring memories and behind-the-scenes moments from the earlier films, Shetty wrote that the first Golmaal had changed his life. He also thanked the audience for supporting the franchise over two decades, acknowledging that the films had entertained them and, at times, disappointed them.
The director had earlier said that he and his team were beginning another journey with Golmaal 5 and asked the audience for their blessings.
The franchise began with Golmaal: Fun Unlimited in 2006 and was followed by Golmaal Returns in 2008, Golmaal 3 in 2010 and Golmaal Again in 2017.
