The support continues to pour in for Glaiza De Castro's acclaimed animated documentary 58th, with Alden Richards stepping up to show his backing for the film.

The Asia's Multimedia Star recently organized a special block screening of 58th, further boosting the campaign for the documentary, which is being considered for the Best Documentary Feature category at the Academy Awards.

The special screening was attended by Glaiza and 58th director Carl Joseph Papa, alongside fellow supporters from the entertainment industry.

Sparkle GMA Artist Center shared photos from the event on social media, capturing moments from the screening and showing solidarity for the film's growing Oscar bid.

The support from Alden comes amid a series of well-attended screenings for 58th at Shangri-La Plaza's Red Carpet Cinemas, where audiences, members of the media, students, and film enthusiasts have gathered to watch and discuss the documentary.

Earlier, Glaiza expressed her heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported the film since its release.

Reflecting on the journey of bringing 58th to audiences, the Kapuso actress said she is especially grateful that the documentary continues to spark meaningful conversations.

"To everyone from the media, universities and all those who took the time to watch, shared your thoughts and joined us during the talkbacks, thank you so much. Meeting so many of you and hearing your stories, questions and reflections after the film has been incredibly meaningful.

With the positive response surrounding 58th, Glaiza also has another major project on the horizon. The actress is set to star in the highly anticipated fantasy-drama film Amir, an official entry to the 2026 Metro Manila Film Festival, alongside Dennis Trillo and child star Argus Aspiras.
