Alex Eala celebrates inner child after NYFW debut: 'This diva just did New York Fashion Week' - GMA Network

Alex Eala couldn’t help but honor her younger self after experiencing New York Fashion Week for the first time.

“This diva just did New York Fashion Week,” Alex wrote on TikTok, where she shared throwback photos of herself as a child confidently posing for the camera in an orange top, yellow printed pants, and blue doll shoes.

In the last slide of her carousel, the Filipina tennis sensation shared an updated photo of herself stepping out of a car in an all-white ensemble on her way to a fashion show.

This is Alex's debut to NYFW, where she attended several events including the Tory Burch show, the Michael Kors presentation, where she met fellow Filipina Kelsey Merritt, and the Calvin Klein event, which spotlight Alex in its Instagram account.

Her attendance at NYFW comes at the heels of her impressive third-round finish at this year’s US Open.

Beyond tennis, Alex has also expressed her interest in fashion. During her latest visit to Manila in July, she said incorporating Filipino elements into her outfits while on tour is her way of paying tribute to her roots.

Alex added that she is interested in collaborating with Filipino designers for future engagements.

Meanwhile, Alex is set to headline the event "Alex Eala Live: Game. Set. Celebrate" on December 8 at the Philippine Arena. She will face fellow Southeast Asian tennis star Janice Tjen of Indonesia in the exhibition match. — Hermes Joy Tunac/LA, GMA News
