Alliance 2 announced with more twists and higher stakes. When and where to watch
Alliance Season 2 is coming sooner than expected. Prime Video has announced that the competitive reality series will return in January 2027, with the new season promising bigger stakes, sharper gameplay and an evolved ‘System’.
The announcement came just months after Season 1 wrapped its six-week run. The show had viewers dissecting every alliance, betrayal and strategic move, and Prime Video says the response has prompted it to bring the series back without making fans wait a full year.
Sharing the announcement on Wednesday, the makers wrote, "System Alert: New alliances loading. More drama to make, more alliances to break (sic)."
Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals, Prime Video, India, said the response to the first season showed that audiences were ready for a different kind of reality show.
“The show didn't just find an audience; it created a community of viewers who were invested in every move, every alliance, and every shift in the game,” Madhok said. “The love that Season 1 got inspired us to ensure we don’t make them wait one full year.”
He added that the second season will have “higher stakes, sharper gameplay, more drama” and a more evolved version of the ‘System’, which will put the contestants through tougher challenges.What happened in Alliance Season 1?
Hosted by Bollywood actor and director Kunal Kemmu, in his reality TV hosting debut, Alliance premiered on June 26, 2026. It also marked Prime Video’s first daily reality series globally, with new episodes streaming every day at noon.
The first season brought 16 celebrity contestants into a mysterious underground headquarters controlled by ‘The System’. They entered as eight pairs and were divided into four teams – kings, Warriors, Legends and Hunters.
But staying together was never quite the point. The contestants had to tackle physical, knowledge-based and strategic challenges while building alliances and protecting their rankings. Teams could rise and fall quickly, with weekly eliminations putting the weakest groups at risk. As the game progressed, betrayals, wildcards and individual survival added another layer to the competition.
The original pairs included Ravi Kishan and Riva Kishan, Kushal Tandon and Arslan Goni, Zaid Darbar and Daisy Shah, Mini Mathur and Nikhil Chinapa, Ruhee Dosani and Niti Taylor, Vanshaj Singh and Dolly Javed, Payal Gaming (Payal Dhare) and Sabby Suri, and Delbar Arya and Armaan Khera.
The season later saw wildcard entries, including Aly Goni, joining the competition.
In the finale, Mini Mathur emerged as the winner, beating Aly Goni and Ruhee Dosani. Aly finished as the first runner-up, while Ruhee was the second runner-up. Mathur took home the 50 lakh prize.What to expect from Season 2
Alliance is the Indian adaptation of the Dutch format created by John de Mol and produced by Banijay Asia. The first season revolved around one central idea: that the smartest mind could outplay everyone else.
Season 2 looks set to push that idea further. Prime Video has teased more twists, tougher gameplay and a revamped ‘System’ designed to test the new batch of Allies in ways they might not see coming.
