Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Thursday reviewed arrangements for Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to Karimnagar on October 4 to attend the silver jubilee celebrations of Prathima Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) here.
Mr. Sanjay inspected the venue for the silver jubilee celebrations at PIMS and the helipad as part of the preparations for the Union Home Minister’s visit to PIMS on Sunday.
He was accompanied by Karimnagar Police Commissioner Gaush Alam, representatives of the PIMS management and others.
Speaking to reporters later, Mr. Sanjay said PIMS was inaugurated 25 years ago by the then Union Home Minister L.K. Advani, the then Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh N. Chandrababu Naidu, and the then Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Ch. Vidyasagar Rao.
During his visit, Mr. Shah will unveil a silver jubilee pylon, lay the foundation stone for the Prathima Deemed University building and inaugurate a photo exhibition.
