The African National Congress (ANC) has rejected the United Sates (US)’s characterisation of the country’s transformation laws as hostility towards the Afrikaner community and other minorities.

The party said it’s regrettable that relations between South Africa and the US “should increasingly be shaped by disagreements and punitive measures”.
