Andhra elderly passenger asks for Rs 5 change, bus conductor thrashes him
An Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) conductor assaulted and verbally abused an elderly passenger following a dispute over a Rs 5 change at the Pakala bus stand in Tirupati district.
According to the passengerβs complaint, he had asked the conductor to return the Rs 5 balance amount due to him. The conductor lost his temper, assaulted the elderly man and abused him.
The footage of the incident shows a heated exchange near parked passenger buses, showing a driver dressed in a khaki uniform confronting an elderly man.
The incident reportedly came to light after the passenger approached the authorities with a complaint. He has sought action against the conductor and demanded departmental proceedings.
