The Andhra Pradesh Government has appointed retired IAS officer Dinesh Kumar (1983 batch) as Commissioner for the 12th Pay Revision Commission (PRC).
The General Administration Department issued G.O.Ms.No.200 on October 1, 2026, appointing Mr. Dinesh Kumar to the post.
The post had remained vacant following the resignation of Manmohan Singh, whose appointment had been accepted by the government in June 2024.
The government said the 12th PRC would continue to function under the existing Terms of Reference issued in July 2023. The Commission would prescribe its own procedure for receiving representations, examining issues and seeking information from departments. Secretariat departments and Heads of Departments had been directed to provide the required information and extend necessary cooperation.
The Commission would ordinarily function from Velagapudi and might tour within or outside the State, if necessary. The government said the Commission should submit its report within one year from the date Mr. Dinesh Kumar assumed charge.
The terms and conditions of his appointment would be issued separately.
