Angelina Jolie purchased the former Cecil B. DeMille estate in 2017 for $24.5 million, moving in shortly after her split from ex-husband Brad Pitt

Angelina Jolie has officially sold her historic Los Angeles estate, closing the deal for $24.75 million, roughly five months after listing it for nearly $30 million. 

The 11,000-square-foot property sits on two acres in Los Feliz and was once owned by legendary director Cecil B. DeMille.

Jolie purchased the six-bedroom, ten-bathroom home in 2017 for $24.5 million, moving in shortly after her split from ex-husband Brad Pitt. The former couple divorced after two years of marriage and roughly eleven years together, and share six children.

Jolie previously spoke about wanting to eventually leave Los Angeles once her youngest children turned 18, which happened earlier this year. 

“When you have a big family, you want them to have privacy, peace, safety,” she told The Hollywood Reporter in August 2024. “I have a house now to raise my children, but sometimes this place can be … that humanity that I found across the world is not what I grew up with here.”

The estate itself includes a Beaux Arts-style mansion, a guest house with a private entrance, a 40-foot pool, a fitness studio, a tea house, and a separate garage with security features. The property also has a basement with staff quarters and a wine cellar, along with century-old trees and sweeping views of the Hollywood Hills, the Hollywood Sign, and the Griffith Observatory.

Originally designed by architect B. Cooper Corbett in 1913, the estate was acquired by DeMille in 1916 and remained in his family until the late 1980s.
