Another cut Raiders player has been scooped up off waivers - Raiders Wire

Since the final roster cuts came out nearly two weeks ago, the Raiders have claimed two players off waivers. Both times, the player they waived in a corresponding move was scooped up by another team.

The latest instance happened when the Raiders claimed Bryce Cabeldue off waivers from the Seahawks. The Raiders then waived Atonio Mafi in a corresponding move. And today, the Titans claimed Mafi off waivers.

The first time this happened was immediately after the roster cutdown deadline when the Raiders claimed CB Darrell Luter off waivers from the 49ers and waived CB Decamerion Richardson who was then claimed by the Saints.

In each instance it's likely the Raiders would have brought back the waived player onto the practice squad. But they weren't given that chance.

Mafi appeared in three games with two starts last season for the Raiders. With him no longer an option, that just leaves Evan Neal as the lone guard on the Raiders' practice squad entering the season, with active roster guards being Jackson Powers-Johnson, Spencer Burford, Caleb Rogers, and Cabeldue.
