Arif elected as ISSA Executive Board member

Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) president Arif Saeed has been elected to the Executive Board of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association (ISSA) for the 2026-2029 term, the POA said Saturday. Saeed was elected as Regional Representative for Asia and Europe during the 15th ISSA General Assembly in Taif, Saudi Arabia. The ISSA brings together 57 member National Olympic Committees, with Saeed's election strengthening Pakistan's representation in international sports governance. The POA said Saeed's corporate leadership experience and contribution to sports administration and youth development would support his new role. His election is expected to provide a platform for promoting athlete development and welfare, strengthening cooperation among member Olympic committees and supporting the development of sport across the ISSA membership. Saeed also serves as president of the South Asian Olympic Council.
