It has been a spectacular start to the season for Arsenal, which has won every match so far in the 2026-27 campaign be it Premier League play, the UEFA Champions League or even the Community Shield.

But being in so many competitions can be a blessing and a curse. Arsenal's Carabao Cup runs begin Tuesday, Sept. 15, with a visit to Ipswich Town, and Mikel Arteta has made some changes to his starting XI.

His options are limited, however, at the back, where right back Ben White has a groin issue and center backs Cristhian Mosquera and William Saliba continue to work through knocks. That has given 17-year-old Marli Salmon a chance to start for the Gunners.
