Initially focused on portraits and still life, he later immersed himself in the surrounding landscape. His shift towards Impressionism inspired numerous visiting artists. Today, the site is known as Weir Farm National Historical Park, preserving its artistic heritage with a collection of over 300 works reflecting American Impressionism.
