As New York marks 25 years since the terrorist attacks on September 11th, New York’s Muslim community has become increasingly part of the fabric of the city. One sign of that is the election of Zohran Mamdani as the city’s mayor last November. Another is the state's largest mosque, due to open its doors at the end of the year. But while things have improved, many Muslims still remember the difficult months that followed the attack. FRANCE 24's Monte Francis reports.
