Asaduddin Owaisi convoy collision leaves up to 5 bikers injured in Bhopal

Four to five bikers were injured after vehicles in AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi’s convoy braked suddenly and collided on VIP Road in Bhopal.

The convoy was passing through the busy road when it stopped at a turn, causing some of the vehicles travelling behind it to collide with one another. Several bikers were caught in the crash.

People at the scene helped the injured before they were taken to hospital for treatment. Details about the nature of their injuries are awaited.

Police reached the spot soon after the accident, cleared the road and restored traffic, which had been briefly disrupted.

Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Vasant Kaul said several vehicles in the convoy had collided after it stopped at the turn.

“Police immediately reached the spot and brought the situation under control. Some bikers suffered injuries and were taken to hospital for first aid,” Kaul said.
