Asian Games, Sep 24 schedule: Rowers, Roshibina headline India's medal hopes

India will have several medal opportunities on Day 5 of the Asian Games, with rowing, wushu, shooting, canoe sprint, swimming and athletics featuring prominently on September 24.

The day begins with rowing, where Balraj Panwar will compete in the men's single sculls Final A at 5:10 AM IST. Satnam Singh and Salman Khan will then race in the men's double sculls Final A. India will also have medal events in the women's four, men's lightweight double sculls and men's quadruple sculls.

Roshibina Devi will be another major medal hope when she faces Zhang Xiaoyu of China in the women's Sanda 60kg final at 6:10 AM IST.

Shooting will bring more medal opportunities, with Anantjeet Singh Naruka and Parinaaz Dhaliwal competing in the skeet mixed team final. The men's 10m air pistol final could also feature Kedarling B. Uchaganve, Aakash Bharadwaj and Kamaljeet, subject to qualification.

In athletics, Asha Ilango and Niharika Vashisht will compete in the women's triple jump final, while Seema will contest the women's 10,000m final. Animesh Kujur and Gurindervir Singh will begin their men's 100m campaigns.

India's men's kabaddi team faces Chinese Taipei, the men's hockey team takes on South Korea, while the women's kabaddi team meets Japan.
