Azeri woman names three rapists

An Azerbaijani woman who had arrived in Pakistan from Istanbul has stated before a local court that she was confined, threatened, sexually assaulted and then pushed out of a moving car by men she had met here. The judicial magistrate declared that he was satisfied that she was making the statement without any influence or inducement and allowed it to be recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The 22-year-old woman told the judicial magistrate that she had arrived in Pakistan on September 13 and spent five days in Faisalabad before travelling to Lahore. She said she had planned to visit Skardu and had contacted Nimra and Muskan to meet her in Lahore. She named Muhammad Ahmed Tanvir, Syed Mohsin Shah and Ali Zain as the men who had assaulted her. According to the statement, she went alone to a café at around 11pm, where Muskan met her. She invited Muskan to eat and have coffee, but was told that Nimra was waiting for them. She said she accompanied Muskan to Bahria Town. At around 2am, a white car arrived there with Ahmed and Mohsin. They went to an apartment and ate there. Ali and another man arrived there later. She stated that Nimra and Mohsin went into a separate room and Muskan also joined them. She alleged that Nimra took between Rs20,000 and Rs30,000 from Mohsin, telling her that the money was for a party. "I told them I did not need money or alcohol," she stated. She stated that Mohsin then tried to touch her and confined her in a room. When she asked where Nimra and Muskan were, she was told that they had left. She asked to be allowed to leave as well, but was told that she could not go because her friend had taken money from the suspects. She offered to pay them Rs30,000 herself so that she could leave.
