Andhra Pradesh Roads and Buildings Minister B.C. Janardhan Reddy has said various development works are being taken up in Banaganapalle town in Nandyal district with the aim of providing better infrastructure to the public and finding permanent solutions to long-standing issues faced by the residents.
The Minister on Sunday (October 4, 2026) inspected various ongoing development projects and reviewed the progress and quality standards of the works with officials. He inspected the new RDO office building under construction in Banaganapalle. He said that once the building became operational, administrative services would be more conveniently accessible to the public. After inquiring about the progress of the construction, he directed officials to ensure high-quality work in accordance with prescribed standards and to expedite the completion of the project.

Mr. Janardhan Reddy also inspected the drainage construction works under way on Anjaneya Swamy Street. He instructed officials to develop an efficient drainage system, keeping in mind the difficulties residents face because of water stagnation and sewage issues during the rainy season. He ordered the swift completion of the construction works and directed that measures be taken to ensure the public faced no inconvenience.
The Minister also inspected the ongoing construction of the bypass road on the Yaganti Palle route. He said the bypass road would play a crucial role in easing traffic congestion on main roads and managing the town’s increasing vehicular movement, and provide better transportation facilities for the public.
Mr. Janardhan Reddy said the government’s objective was to comprehensively develop Banaganapalle town across all sectors and transform it into a model town in terms of infrastructure.
The Minister also performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a new shed at the Dastagiri Swamy Dargah in Banaganapalle town. He is undertaking the project with his own funds. The Dargah is located near the four-road junction on the road leading to Pandlapuram.
