Bayern Munich posts football score, two months before NFL's visit - USA Today

Bayern Munich continued a red-hot start to the season with Michael Olise scoring a hat trick and Harry Kane adding a double in a 7-0 thumping of Union Berlin at the Allianz Arena.

Kane will recognize that type of score, not necessarily for his day job but because of his continued NFL fandom.

His beloved New England Patriots visit Allianz Arena for a Nov. 15 matchup with the Detroit Lions. With two months of anticipation, however, Bayern already are putting up scores that belong on the gridiron.

Canada international Alphonso Davies set up Jamal Musiala for a long-range opener in the 18th minute.

Kane converted from the spot just over 20 minutes later. Musiala turned provider for Olise before the halftime break, setting up the first of three goals by the 24-year-old who was recently named in Zinedine Zidane's first France national team roster.

Second-half substitute Tom Bischof twice was able to link with Olise, who also assisted Kane on a 54th minute goal. Ismael Saibari got in on the scoring with a 70th-minute goal, also from Davies, just ahead of Olise's second and third goals – another long-range stunner that Union goalkeeper Frederik Ronnow could do little about.

Olise already has netted eight goals in seven matches across all competitions for Bayern since returning from the World Cup, while Kane has six in the same stretch.

Bayern is yet to taste defeat this season, though it entered the weekend trailing Freiburg and Borussia Dortmund at the top of the German Bundesliga table after a scoreless draw with Schalke on Sept. 5 spoiled a perfect record.

With 14 goals this Bundesliga season, however, it looks safe that no matter how many points the American football teams rack up, Bayern won't be eclipsed as the top scorer in the Allianz Arena this season, with Vincent Kompany's attack firing on all cylinders.
