BEIJING, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- The Beijing Ducks extended their winning streak to six games to remain the only unbeaten team so far in the 2026-27 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) League, defeating the Qingdao Eagles 105-86 in the sixth round.

Jakarr Sampson finished with 27 points and 15 rebounds, while Lindy Waters III and Zeng Fanbo added 16 and 14 points, respectively, as Beijing played without leading scorer Barry Brown. The Ducks led 26-18 after the opening quarter and pulled clear with a 27-17 run in the third before securing a comfortable road win. Jordan Mickey posted 30 points and 10 rebounds for Qingdao.

"With Brown out, we had to adjust our lineup, and the players responded well. It was a good chance to try different rotations," said Beijing head coach Li Nan. "Defensively, apart from the second quarter, we contained them well in the other three periods. There are still details to fix, especially our pick-and-roll defense, and we will review the tape. We'll take it one game at a time and keep fighting for every win."

The Beijing Royal Fighters posted the round's biggest victory, thrashing the Sichuan Blue Whales 115-64. Harry Giles finished with 26 points, 12 rebounds and three assists, while Jordan Howard's game-high 31 points could not prevent Sichuan from suffering a heavy defeat.

The Guangdong Southern Tigers edged the Jiangsu Dragons 82-80 and the Xinjiang Flying Tigers held off the Nanjing Monkey Kings 84-83 in a close finish the same day.

The Fujian Sturgeons rallied from a halftime deficit to beat the Shandong Heroes 102-90, snapping a two-game losing streak.

On Friday, the Liaoning Flying Leopards bounced back with a 107-91 victory over the Ningbo Rockets, improving their record to 5-1 and handing the hosts a sixth straight loss to open the season. Kyler Edwards led Liaoning with 24 points, while Sharife Cooper added 20 points and seven assists.

The Shenzhen Aviators edged the Jilin Northeast Tigers 82-81 on Johnson's go-ahead layup with six seconds remaining.

Elsewhere, the Zhejiang Lions rallied from a 23-point halftime deficit to beat the Tianjin Pioneers 95-92.

The Shanghai Sharks extended their winning streak to three games with an 88-81 victory over the Zhejiang Golden Bulls. Goodwin erupted for 32 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
