Bengaluru CEO makes Gemini his lawyer after biker rams his car. What happened next
A Bengaluru-based startup founder had a road-rage complaint to file, but instead of figuring out the legal process himself, he decided to take the help of Google’s AI chatbot Gemini. Days later, the biker who rammed his car had written an apology and paid for the damage.
Siddharth Dialani, founder and CEO of BharatAgri, shared a three-part post detailing the incident, along with pictures showing the dent on his car.
“I was a victim of road rage in Bangalore a few days back,” Siddharth wrote. He said Gemini helped him draft a complaint addressed to Koramangala police station and advised him to get a written acknowledgement after submitting it.
Siddharth wrote that the police initially spent time trying to identify the biker. “Police realised that I wouldn't leave without the acknowledgement copy. They fed me a samosa (just like in movies) while they searched for the rowdy biker who hit my car,” he added.
He said the incident happened when the biker, who was travelling with his wife, believed that Siddharth’s car had brushed against his bike. The biker then confronted him and escalated the situation.
“He got me to stop my car, kicked the side gate violently, got on his bike and rammed my car from behind,” Siddharth wrote. He added that the biker later overtook his car and repeatedly braked in front of him “to intimidate” him.
Siddharth said the biker did not realise that the entire incident was being recorded by his car’s dashcam.
He then submitted the footage and other evidence at Koramangala police station. Detailing the incident further, Siddharth said the police were cooperative and used the bike’s registration number visible in the footage to trace the rider.
“They got the bike number from my dashcam recording and found the biker's phone number from their database,” he wrote.
The biker was subsequently called to the police station and the man initially claimed that he had been hit by him first. However, after the photographs were shown to the biker and a warning was given of an FIR and criminal case, the biker agreed to resolve the matter.
“Got him to write an apology letter and pay me for the damages,” Siddharth said.
He ended the account with a tongue-in-cheek verdict: “Gemini is my lawyer now!”
