The Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) in Ranipet celebrated the 157th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi at its campus here on Friday.
According to a press release, K. Saketh Raman, General Manager, Quality, BHEL, garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi and paid floral tributes. Students of DAV and SRK schools sang patriotic songs highlighting Gandhiji’s principles and contribution to the nation.
On the eve of the special day as part of “Swachhatha Hi Seva Special Campaign 2026”, S. Leela, General Manager (Human Resources), BHEL, inaugurated a procession of school students and staff of BHEL in the campus. A cleaning drive was also organised to observe “Swachotsav”. Senior officials, representatives of unions and associations were also present, the release said.
