Bia Abreu brings nature to small spaces at CASACOR SP 2018 - CASACOR

At the Tartuferia at CASACOR São Paulo 2018 , landscaper Bia Abreu created a delicate refuge that invites you to enjoy nature while enjoying haute cuisine. The Tartuferia Garden is made up of an area inside the restaurant and an outdoor area of 60 m², full of foliage and textures that awaken the senses.

The project demonstrates the possibility of creating and cultivating gardens even in small spaces. Two corten steel cylinders – created by the professional herself – house two small aquatic gardens with mini papyrus plants, Chinese umbrellas, water lettuce, water hyacinths and water lilies, a solution smart and sustainable that requires little maintenance. Horsetail, Black Yam, Pontederia and Lotus are also suitable species.

Knowing that the garden model created would fit perfectly into the contemporary lifestyle – in which there is little time to dedicate to contact with nature – Bia leaves recommendations and suggestions for those who wish to plant a similar garden. "Treat the water is essential. Adding a tablespoon of chlorine every time you change the water is very important, as this substance prevents mosquito eggs and larvae from proliferating."

Regarding lighting, she explains: “You need to read a little about each of these species and group them according to the environment (constant sun or indoors) chosen so that your garden grows uniformly.” The Tartuferia Garden presents a path to incorporate nature into everyday life, inspiring visitors to the exhibition.
