The Pittsburgh Steelers snuck out with a 20-13 win over the Atlanta Falcons and got an all-important Week One win in what looks like to be a competitive AFC North this season. New Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy got his first win in his hometown as the team's new head coach and here are our big takeaways from the win.

Pittsburgh's struggles on offense kept the Falcons in it right up until the very end. With Cooper Rush starting at quarterback for Atlanta, this shouldn't have been close but the Steelers offense couldn't get on track consistently enough to pull away.

For all the troubling individual performances, the product DK Metcalf put out was the most disconcerting. Metcalf had two big drops and two offensive pass interference penalties.

Everyone wrote off Watt last season but we hoped it was an aberration thanks to former DC Teryl Austin. One week in and it seems that was the case. Watt had two sacks, four tackles and an interception that he returned for a touchdown.

Porter Jr. strolled out to the sidelines and joined his team an hour into the game after being named an inactive and then after the game walked to the locker alone, no emotion after the win and then was the first guy out of the locker room, seemingly indifferent to everything around him.
