Bigg Boss Kannada 13: Prathama Prasad exits show before entering main house
Actor and dancer Prathama Prasad has been eliminated from Bigg Boss Kannada 13 in the first week, without getting an opportunity to enter the main Bigg Boss house. With her eviction, she became the first contestant in the show’s history to be eliminated without stepping into the main house. Prathama, along with her other contestants, were in the makeshift flight stationed at the entrance of the house.
The thirteenth season of Bigg Boss Kannada started on September 6, with 16 contestants entering the competition. While all 16 contestants had to spend a day on a makeshift flight stationed at the entrance of the house, on the second day, a select few got the opportunity to enter the house based on a task. During the course of the week, contestants were divided into two teams: housemates and flight-mates. Competitions were held between the teams, with the results deciding the nomination list, which eventually resulted in Prathama's eviction.
Prathama was nominated for the first-week elimination along with Kiran Shastry, Vaishnavi Kaundinya, Avinash, Om Prakash Rao, Asiya Firdose, Manjunath and Dhanush. After receiving the least number of votes, she was eliminated from the show. After a brief conversation with Sudeep on stage, she was awarded a cash prize of Rs 3 lakh on behalf of the show's sponsors.
Speaking to host Kichcha Sudeep after her eviction, an emotional Prathama opened up about her journey in the entertainment industry and the love she has received from Kannada audiences over the years.
“My beloved Kannada audience has given me immense love for the last 15 years. I have explored different fields, including dance and acting, but Bigg Boss was truly a very special platform for me,” she said.
During the opening episode, Sudeep asked Prathama about the biggest challenge she expected to face inside the house. She said dealing with people who refused to listen while she was trying to put across her point could be difficult for her.
Prathama is the daughter of veteran actor Vinaya Prasad. During her time on the show, she spoke about being proud of her mother’s identity while also trying to establish a name for herself in the entertainment industry.
“I am an actor, dancer, swimmer and a mother. When people recognise me as Vinaya Prasad’s daughter, I feel extremely proud and happy. But when some people ask what I have achieved on my own, it hurts a little,” Prathama said on the show.
Prathama grew up in an artistic environment and is a trained Kathak dancer who has performed at several events in India and abroad. She made her television debut as a host with Sai to Dance Season 2 before taking on the lead role in the TV serial Bombeyatavayya. She later appeared in several other television serials like Devi, Amruthavarshini and Karimani.
However, her Bigg Boss journey came to an abrupt end in the very first week.
