No, you aren't seeing things, the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 30-27 with over 400 yards of offense. The Steelers improved to 2-1 on the season and took the No. 1 spot in the AFC North thanks to their now 1-0 divisional record in 2026.
Pittsburgh's offense was red hot, and although the defense bent, the unit refused to break and closed the game late. There are more than a few winners and losers to recognize from the Steelers' Week 3 win over Cincinnati.
From a terrifyingly great running back to a lone loser who had a dreadful performance on defense, here's a look at the biggest winners and losers from Pittsburgh's win over the Bengals.
Warren, a major focus in our Week 3 keys to victory, was outstanding in the win over the Bengals. Recording 127 rushing yards on 17 attempts and 49 receiving yards on three catches, Warren set a career high in scrimmage yards (176) on Sunday.
Wilson was arguably Aaron Rodgers' favorite target in the Week 3 victory over Cincinnati. On six targets, Wilson caught three passes for 60 yards and one touchdown, which happened to be the first score of the game. Just eight yards off from leading the team in receiving yards, Wilson was outstanding and should continue to be a focal point of the Rodgers-led offense.
Washington is a wrecking ball in human form. The massive 6-foot-7, 300-plus-pound tight end broke off two highlight-worthy catch-and-run plays, including a first-down gain in which it took four Bengals defenders just to bring him down. Pittsburgh may very well have the best tight end room in the league at this point.
In an effort to solve their offensive line woes, the Steelers brought two new additions to the starting unit: Brock Hoffman at right guard and rookie first-rounder Max Iheanachor at right tackle. The move was exactly the spark the Steelers' offensive line needed, as both the pass protection and run blocking looked much improved against a solid Bengals defense.
Often an unsung hero, Skowronek had an excellent day on both special teams and offense. Catching the Steelers' second touchdown pass of the game while also recovering a key fumble off a muffed punt from Bengals returner Ke'Shawn Williams, Skowronek showed fans why he's more than deserving of a roster spot every season.
Wilson had a solid performance against Cincinnati, playing great defense against both the pass and run on Sunday. Finishing the contest with six tackles and a key pass breakup, Wilson deserves his flowers in Week 3.
We're beginning to run out of room for winners at this point, but I would be remiss if I didn't include Harmon, who sealed the Steelers' Week 3 victory over the Bengals with an amazing strip-sack fumble of Joe Burrow. Harmon, one of Pittsburgh's up-and-coming defensive stars, finished the matchup with one sack and one tackle for loss.
Samuel finds himself alone in the loser category this week, allowing not just one but two touchdowns in pass coverage, more than Joey Porter Jr. has allowed in his entire first three years in the league. In his defense, he was going up against arguably one of the greatest receivers in football, Ja'Marr Chase. But Samuel showed us all that there are levels to being an elite cornerback, and there's simply no replacing Porter, no matter how sick of his contract drama fans are.
